Katsav and Iran Haaretz has a very interesting article about a radio segment on Israel Radio's Persion service in which President Moshe Katsav, who was born in Iran, spoke with Iranians. According to the article, one of the callers "praised Israel for giving international aid but chided it for being selective." "I am very proud of the fact that a native Iranian has become the president of Israel," the listener said. "Tell me. How is it that when there is an earthquake at the other end of the world, Israel mobilizes to help, whereas you will not help us - the Iranian people - go free?" It's comforting to know the Iranians do not necessarily subscribe to the conspiracy theories and hatred expressed in their newspapers, such as the Tehran Times. | "
