Mark McGwire got terrible advice from his attorneys. The chances of him being prosecuted for something related to use of steroids years ago are very remote. His answers made clear that he used steroids, but his refusal to directly admit to steroid use and take responsibility for his past mistakes will leave even the most forgiving unsympathetic toward him.
