Arutz Sheva Joins The Dark Side
Arutz Sheva, the right-wing Israeli radio station and website, was once a valuable media alternative to other Israeli news outlets. It offered a unique perspective and interesting interviews.
Arutz Sheva even broke some key stories, like its reports concerning the scope of Ehud Barak's concessions in 2000, and its impressively detailed exclusive in 1996 (later confirmed elsewhere) that Yasser Arafat told Arab leaders in Stockholm that Oslo was a Trojan Horse to destroy Israel.
So the extreme right-wing slant most recently seen in Arutz Sheva has been disappointing. Adding to that disappointment is the site's long, rambling article that was posted today, suggesting a massive conspiracy relating to the Rabin murder, particularly that Yigal Amir did not kill Rabin.
If this is the direction Arutz Sheva is going, it is no longer a worthwhile media outlet, let alone a valuable one.
